Former Chief Minister of Assam Tarun Gogoi passed away at the age of 86

Former Chief Minister of Assam Tarun Gogoi died in Gauhati on Monday evening at the age of 86. He breathed his last at 5:34 pm at Medical College, Guwahati. Many big leaders including PM Modi mourn the death of Tarun Gogoi.

Tarun Gogoi was the leader of the Congress Party. He was being looked after by a team of 9 doctors at the Medical College in Gauhati. His condition was critical for a long time and he was kept on ventilating. All his body parts also stopped working but his brain was getting some signals and his eyes were also moving. His heart was also working with pacemaker. Apart from this, all the parts of his body stopped working. Tarun Gogoi's dialysis was also done on Sunday. But unfortunately Gogoi could not be saved.

Gogoi held power of Assam, 3 times as Chief Minister

Tarun Gogoi was admitted to GMCH on 2 November. On Saturday, his health deteriorated so much that he had to be kept in a ventilator. Under the leadership of the Congress Party, Tarun Gogoi has been the Chief Minister of Assam three times. Tarun Gogoi was found infected with Corona virus on 25 August. The next day he was admitted to the hospital. He was then discharged from the hospital on 25 October.
