IND vs AUS : In absence of Virat Kohli, Pujara and Rahane have to take responsibility

In the absence of Indian team captain Virat Kohli in the upcoming Test series between India and Australia legendary batsmen Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane will have to take on the additional responsibility of the team. Captain Virat Kohli will return to the country after the first match in the 4 Test Matches series against Australia. The Border Gavaskar series of these four test matches are to be played in Adelaide from 17 December.

Captain Virat Kohli will return to India after playing the first match of this Test series to be held from December 17. In the absence of Virat Kohli, the responsibilities of Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane will be increased towards the team. However, doing well for both these players will prove to be a tough challenge.

Cheteshwar Pujara returns to the field after 9 months

Cheteshwar Pujara will return to the field after a long gap due to Corona epidemic. Cheteshwar Pujara last played for Saurashtra in Rajkot, Gujarat on March 9. In that Ranji atch, Pujara scored 66 runs in his first innings against Bengal. He has not played a match since that match.

Ajinkya Rahane is also struggling with bad form

The challenge will not be easy for Indian team vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane. In the Test series played in 2019, he did not perform as expected. Not only this, in the recent edition of the IPL in the 13th edition also Rahane's bat did not get more runs. Only 113 runs, Rahane scored in 9 matches of IPL this season. In this too, his highest score was 66 runs.

There will also be pressure of captaincy on Ajinkya Rahane

Apart from batting, Ajinkya Rahane will also captain the team. It is expected that in the absence of Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane will also captain the team. Although BCCI has not yet garnered any name. If this happens then it would be the first time that Ajinkya Rahane ,for the third time he would take the captaincy of the Indian team in three Test matches.It will be interesting to see whether Ajinkya can win the Indian team like the last two times.
